About
Us
Our story startS in the 1970s…
When the Choi family immigrated to the United States from South Korea. With nothing but $16, grit, and the promise of the American dream, founder Chang Nam Choi — affectionally known as “Mr. Choi” to our customers — wanted a better life and education for his family.
Mr. Choi, a seventh degree black belt in a time before taekwondo was popular, opened Red Bank Cleaners as a means of providing for his family. Mr. Choi was known to his customers for his boisterous laugh and strong-willed spirit.
Red Bank Cleaners is a vibrant part of the community and one embodiment of the American dream, built on the legacy of tenacity, sacrifice, and hope of a better future. Red Bank Cleaners is a family owned and operated business. We have been serving the community for over 30 years. We pride ourselves on our hard-work, integrity, and relationship with our customers.
In 2002, Mr. Choi’s daughter Anna and son-in-law Paul took over management and transformed the business to reflect changing technology and environmental conservation. Paul and Anna attend bi-monthly seminars to learn the most innovative and sustainable dry cleaning practices. No job is too big or too small.
Thirty years later, Red Bank Cleaners is still serving our customers with the same commitment and care. With changing garment materials, business attire, and environmental concerns, we adapt to meet and serve our customers’ needs.
